Religious Education

At Holy Trinity Primary School the students have daily Religious Education lessons, using the Archdiocesan curriculum ‘Treasures New and Old’. Throughout the year, different aspects of the Liturgical Year are highlighted by School Masses, liturgies and other prayer services. The Parish Priest celebrates class Masses with the community at a level that is meaningful and relevant to the students. This, combined with student’s expression through song, movement, drama and art, adds colour and life to the celebrations and enhances their appreciation and understanding of the Eucharist as a religious and faith experience.

The Sacramental program is Parish based and the Religious Education Coordinator and classroom teachers organise the school programs in conjunction with the Parish Priest and staff of Sts. Peter and Paul, Garran. Parents are encouraged to participate fully in the program attending family gatherings organised within the Parish.

As from 2016 students are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation in Year 3,

Eucharist in Year 4 and Confirmation in Year 6.
