Just a reminder that this WEDNESDAY THE 19TH of December, we need all Year 5 families to please bring in a plate for the Year 6 Graduation Lunch. It’s a Holy Trinity tradition that the Year 5 families provide the food for the Year 6’ers and their families to celebrate over lunch. It is expected that approx. 80 people will be attending, which means everyone needs to please bring in a plate of something.
Thank you to those who have already gotten back to me with your offering and volunteers to help set up and clean up, you support is truly appreciated.
Because of the heat, If everyone could please bring their plate, or send their child with the plate to the Parish Centre, so that we can refrigerate your offering or at least leave it in the cool of the air-con. The Parish Centre will be open from 8.30am
Only 4 SLEEPS to go until the school year is over……
Best Wishes Penny O’Connell (Claire’s from 5/6 R’s mum)
Bus Service Disruption
17 Dec 2018
Transport Workers Union all-driver meeting to take place on Wednesday 19 December 2018
On Wednesday 19 December, all Transport Canberra bus services will cease between 10am and 2pm to allow for all bus drivers to attend an important meeting to be conducted by the Transport Workers Union. The meeting, which is authorised by the ACT Government, is a necessary step towards finalising a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
Limited services will be available between 9.30am - 10am and between 2pm - 2.30pm, as all drivers transition from their on-road shifts to attend the meeting. All services will then return to commence as normal before the peak period from 2.30pm.
This meeting has been scheduled outside of peak travel times to minimise inconvenience to customers. No school services will be affected.
Head Lice Alert
17 Dec 2018
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news however we have had reports of Head Lice in multiple areas of the school (Just in time for Christmas).
Can we please ask ALL families to check each of their children and treat as necessary. Please note that children are fine to return to school once they have had their hair treated.
For further information on head lice and treatment, please click here.
* A tip from Mrs Jud, if you have a child with long hair, use a hair straightener after treating your child's hair as it will fry any eggs you may have missed.

End of Year overdue notices have been sent out today. Please send back all overdue books ASAP.
I find that books often turn up in the most unusual places and are sometimes left at home or are even back on the library shelves.
Please look carefully and if needed send in a note or pop in and have a look on the shelves.
Another option is to do a computer search to find a picture of the missing book. This can sometimes cause a light bulb moment.
If you are sending in money to replace a book (or books) the prices are usually written on the overdue notice. If not, wehave decided a flat rate of $10 for smaller books and $15 for the big picture books.
Once books have been returned or paid for names are cleared.
103 children received overdue notices today. Some are books that are a little overdue and some are books that are months overdue.
Happy reading to you all.
