Message from the Principal
Another year brings another reason to smile and be proud of our wonderful school, and the parents and students that make our community so special.
Holy Trinity is committed to living out Jesus’ message of faith, hope and love; to inspire connections with our God, our world, and each other. Striving to ensure the equality, dignity and worth of each individual drives us all.
Our mission is to develop curious, inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who will be responsible for creating a compassionate and more peaceful world. Our International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme is an engaging and stimulating curriculum that prepares our students to meet tomorrow’s challenges. The programme is part of our mission to impassion students to be internationally minded with an understanding of their responsibilities to themselves and to the world.
Our strong focus on the development of skills in literacy and numeracy was reflected in our 2017 NAPLAN results. Our year three students recorded mean scores well above the ACT’s in every aspect of literacy and numeracy, particularly in writing and spelling. Our year fives were also well above the ACT average and much higher in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Complementing the rich inquiry-based learning in our primary school is our Early Learning Centre, providing a Catholic pre-school education for 4 year-olds.
One of the great strengths of Holy Trinity is our involved parent community, who work together to build strong partnerships between the home, school and the parish.
We are privileged to have a strong and committed School Board who are proactive in overseeing decisions made for our student, families and wider community. The Parents & Friends Association is also very active, supporting the school and its community in many ways: raising funds for resources to enhance the teaching and learning, building a cohesive and supportive social community; and aiding local community organisations such as L’Arche and St Vincent de Paul.
I would be delighted to personally talk with any parents interested in joining our learning community, and to personally take you on a tour of our school and facilities. Please contact the school via email at email@example.com, or phone 02 6281 4811.
May Jesus journey with you in Faith, Hope and Love.
