Come, Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of your faithful.
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
Lord,
by the light of the Holy Spirit
you have taught the hearts of your faithful.
In the same Spirit
help us to relish what is right
and always rejoice in your consolation.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Dear Friends,
The prayer above, focusing on the Holy Spirit was shared with parents of our Confirmation candidates at last week's information session. Please keep in your thoughts and prayers the children in our Parish community currently preparing for this Sacrament to be celebrated in June. A particular thank you to parents who are hosting home groups- home groups are a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families and share this sacramental journey together.
It was also wonderful seeing so many parents reconnect at our Mother's Day stall and working bee last Friday, especially many new parents to our community! Thank you so much for all your hard work, firstly making many children happy with present choice and in the afternoon ensuring areas in our playground and ELC are maintained. I especially enjoyed watching our students with their parents helping with the shovelling and the gardening! I also hope all the mothers in our community enjoyed their day on Sunday and the special treats!
Last Friday also saw our first fundraiser for our GSP school community, Evaland Hekima. Footy Fever was certainly well received and thank you for your generosity. Below is an updated newsletter from the GSP Board detailing what they are currently spending our donations on. Details of the other fundraiser themes for the remainder of the term are set out below in the RE News section.
Thank you to families who continue to report to me if they have a COVID case in their household. More RAT tests are available for families at the front office, as testing is required every 48 hours for close contacts. As stated in the Road Map shared with families recently, unfortunately parents are still not allowed in the buildings without an appointment.
Have a wonderful weekend and a peace-filled week ahead with your beautiful families. Please do not hesitate to reach out for anything at all and continue to stay safe.
Warmest wishes,
Philippa

The funds we have raised to date have been used to complete the toilets and buy text books – see newsletter in opening article.
The school has two objectives in mind – the construction of more classrooms (as their student numbers have increased considerably) and the building of a dining hall for students (they currently collect food from the kitchen and eat outside).
Footy Fever Fundraiser
Thank you to all who donated, we raised $463.10!

Enrolment Period - ELC & Kindergarten
Catholic Schools enrolment period for 2023 runs throughout the month of May. The ELC and Primary School are enrolling now. Please note that ALL Preschool families need to enrol their preschooler into their priority enrolment area school. Enrolment in the ELC does not automatically continue into Primary School. Please refer to the Holy Trinity Primary School website for enrolment information and the enrolment link.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Overdue notices have been sent out today. Please send back all overdue books ASAP.
I find that books often turn up in the most unusual places and are often ‘somewhere safe’ at home or are even back on the library shelves.
Please look carefully and if needed send in a note or pop in and have a look on the shelves. Another option is to do a computer search to find a picture of the missing book. This can sometimes cause a light bulb moment.
If you are sending in money to replace a book (or books) the prices are usually written on the overdue notice. If not, we have decided a flat rate of $10 for smaller books and $15 for the big picture books.
Once books have been returned or paid for names are cleared. 203 children received overdue notices today. Some are books that are a little overdue and some are books are months overdue.
Thanks in advance and happy reading to you all.

Thank you for the super speedy filling of the volunteers needed for tomorrow's Canteen session.
We still require volunteers on numerous Fridays for the remainder of the school year. We have our wonderful Kirsty and Cath doing all the Wednesday and Thursday shifts by themselves and our wonderful Kids Biz filling one Friday volunteers spot so we only need to ask for 2 parents or carers to volunteer on the Fridays.
Volunteering in the Tuckshop is easy, and each shift you will have an experienced volunteer to help and guide you.
You will need a WWVP card and have up to date COVID vaccinations to help at the school.
Click here to volunteer for this Friday's shift or for any other shift or two in the Tuckshop.
Just a reminder our Tuckshop operates from Wednesday to Friday each week. Orders can be placed for the current week and the next week, but the cut off is 7pm if you are ordering for the next day.
You can also order take home meals. Details can be found on Qkr.
If you have volunteered and need to change your day, please use Sign Up to make amendments.
Any questions can be directed to Cath or Kirsty at holytrinitytuckshop@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for helping in the Tuckshop.
