Dear Families and Carers,
Tomorrow we will be celebrating the special role grandparents play in the lives of our children. Grandparents bring wisdom, stories, stability and a deep sense of belonging that helps shape who our children become. I often reflect on the significant role my own parents played in the lives of my boys, from after-school pickups, footy training and weekend sleep overs to quiet moments of listening and guiding. Their relationship has flourished well into adulthood, built on shared experiences, unconditional love and trust. Grandparents enrich family life in unique and lasting ways, and we are so grateful for the important part they play in our school community. We look forward to Year 1 leading our Liturgy tomorrow in the Hall at 9.15am followed by morning tea for our fabulous guests.
ACT Children’s Week 2025, Celebrating the Right to Play
Last Friday evening we were proud to host the Inaugural Holy Trinity Tennis Challenge as part of ACT Children’s Week 2025. This event was a wonderful celebration of the right of every child to play, connect and belong. It was heartening to see so many families, students and staff coming together on our courts to cheer, laugh and join in the fun. Play is such an important part of childhood, it builds confidence, friendships, resilience and joy. A special thank you to our families and staff who supported the afternoon, making it a meaningful celebration of children and community at Holy Trinity.

Children's Week Awards
We are incredibly proud of Felicity in Year 5, who has been recognised with the ACT Children’s Week Award for Exceptional Young Children and the 2025 Children’s Commissioner’s Award. Felicity was nominated for her courage and compassion in cutting her hair for Wigs for Kids, donating it to support a child in need. Alongside this, she raised funds to support cancer research, a beautiful example of kindness and service in action. Felicity’s generosity and empathy truly reflect the values of Holy Trinity. Congratulations, Felicity!

Hello from the Library, The Term 4 Scholastic Book Club was sent home last week. This will be the final Book Club for 2025. Children who won prizes during the 2025 Book Week Celebrations were sent home reminder notes with this catalogue. Orders close Monday, 3rd November- Week 4. During this time, I process orders three times ensuring the huge number of books we order at HT are staggered in their arrival.
On Thursday, 6th November (Week 4) we have a visit from First Nations author, illustrator, musician, poet and artist Gregg Dreise. In Library sessions we are unpacking Gregg’s books – they are fabulous. Gregg teaches, questions and provides age-appropriate quality literature. HT is very fortunate to have him visit.
If you would like to pre order a book to have signed to celebrate Gregg’s visit please see below…
Happy Thursday,

Australian National Championships
Over the weekend, Milla proudly represented the ACT Girls U10s team at the Australian Oztag Championships in Coffs Harbour. The girls played exceptionally well across their nine games, taking on some very tough competition. Their determination and teamwork saw them progress through the quarter and semifinals, before finishing strong to win the 2025 Australian Nationals title with an impressive 4–1 victory!
Congratulations to Milla and her teammates on this incredible achievement, what an amazing effort!
